Interns & Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in contributing to the global scholarly ecosystem through Global Digital Library. While we do not produce or manage academic content ourselves, we rely on dedicated interns and volunteers to assist with technical, administrative, and operational support for our platform that serves independent journal publishers and conference organizers worldwide.

As an intern or volunteer, your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with platform testing, user support, and documentation
  • Supporting metadata quality checks and indexing workflows
  • Helping maintain conference and journal directory listings
  • Contributing to outreach, communications, or accessibility initiatives
  • Providing logistical coordination for public-facing resources (e.g., FAQs, guides, event calendars)

Please note that Global Digital Library does not oversee peer review, editorial decisions, or academic content. Therefore, intern and volunteer roles are strictly non-editorial and do not involve handling unpublished manuscripts, evaluating research, or engaging in scholarly decision-making. All academic authority remains with the independent publishers and conference organizers we host.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes experience in scholarly infrastructure, digital preservation, and Open Access publishing—while supporting a mission of global knowledge dissemination.

All internships and volunteer placements are coordinated through our administrative office. Opportunities may be remote, project-based, or term-limited, depending on organizational needs.
